| Description | The objective of the talk is to create (or for some perhaps: re-ignite) an awareness of the usefulness of tax planning as a way to save costs when doing business in Asia. Key countries to be covered include Singapore, Indonesia, China, India, Thailand, Malaysia,
Vietnam, Japan and the Philippines.
Drawing on his vast experience working across Asia, Mr de Ridder will provide critical insights into:
- Examining the tax environment in Asia including various taxation systems and key tax rates in Asia
- Identifying important tax considerations for tax efficient structures: what do people need to think about when they plan to have a tax efficient structure in Asia
- Distinguishing between inbound investment vs. outbound investment considerations
- Showcasing case studies on tax efficient holding and finance structures, and royalty/service fee arrangements used across Asia including: loan financing, leasing hybrid loans and use of limited partnerships as a means to finance operations tax efficiently
